SAA bad service and commitment outstanding years later . They are pretty good at lying
I am still waiting for SAA to pay back the accommodation that we had to pay for when they messed up several years ago.
There were several commitments in writing but nothing forthcoming. Typicalof SAA. This followed them refusing to allow me to take on expensive professional photographic equipment for a local connecting flight when I had carried it from SA domestic on the out-flight through two international flights with per-approval for cabin baggage in a cabin baggage size hand carrier. The same happened with my wife with her jewellery in approved hand baggage not allowed to take it on board. This occurred at the entrance to the plane. I suspect these two assistants had some reason for our very expensive valuables to go missing. The flight departed with our main baggage and not us which is banned by aviation authorities and this was swept under the rug. They informed us our luggage would be offloaded and it was not. I suspect the air hostess **** to the captain to prove a point. We flew the next morning on another carrier with our hand luggage. We had to book into a hotel for the night as there ware no more flights
Since then there has been many empty commitments and no result. Typical useless government company with no concern for their customers. I am not holding my breath but this complaint is necessary to let others know how bad SAA is.
