On the 2 March I booked a return air ticket from Jhb to Bulawayo Zimbabwe, and paid R5568.72. I printed my confirmation. On the 18 March I went to check in for my flight. At the self service ticketing, they could not find my passport number and referred me to the SAA Airlink counter. Again my passport or reservation number could not be found, they in turn sent me to the check in counters. At the counter again they could not find anything on their system. I went with the assistant to the SAA counter, where it was discovered that my ticket had been cancelled because the credit card had not gone through. Totally flustered I asked them to please just get me on the plane, which, thankfully they did. A new ticket was issued and I paid R7372.72. If I had not planned to go away with family for Easter I would have declined to pay and would have just come home. Please can anyone explain how SAA can justify this increase in the same ticket. I'm so tired of being **********, because companies need to make a profit. Really! ! !
