poor service

on the 3rd April 2018 me and my wife travelled from Cape Town to Johannesburg on flight SAA346 as part of our journey to Sydney, Australia. My wife was flying business class and I flew economy class. My baggage allowance was clearly stated as being 30 Kilograms. No amount of bags was stipulated so I insured that my two check in bags weighed exactly 30 kilograms. Arriving at the check in counter the lady refused to check in my two bags stating that I was only allowed one weighing 30 kilograms. I explained to her that the website does not state this and she could not show me where it states that it must be one bag. she then said my wife flying business class can take three bags and she can take my bag on her name. Again this is wrong as she was only allowed 40 kilograms and her baggage weight was not 55 Kilograms. We left it at that and proceeded to the gate. at the gate a very rude gentleman from SAA took our carry on luggage away quite aggressively and said that I have two bags although the one was my computer laptop bag and the other a legal size carry on luggage inside weight and size limits. he refused to listen to reason and the fact that we had some sensitive stuff in the bag. He actually threatened to take us off the flight. (same happened to the person before us).This was not a option because of our connecting flight. On our arrival in Sydney we found that the check in bag in question at the check in counter in Cape Town had not arrived. We reported this and was told the next day it had been found still in Cape Town. Again a fault of SAA. Needless to say I will as far as possible never fly SAA again. The international company I work for have been in formed and they instructed their travel desk to not book flights on SAA. We heard from other people who had similar experiences at the gate but did not believe it possible. No wonder SAA is not making a profit
