No food on flights at lunchtime

I cannot believe that SAA no longer offer a meal on a 13.00 flight from Jhb to CT. For those prices, a lousy packet of crisps and a snack pack of trail mix is a pathetic offering. The flight attendant was surly and unpleasant when I asked about this new policy. Why fly SAA?
