No flights for a year!

My husband has accumulated hundreds of thousands of Voyager miles, but it seems nearly impossible to use them. After endless effort we've lost most of them as they've expired, and have only another 143000 to go. <br> <br> We decided that in order to improve our chances of a successful booking, we'd give them carte blanche this time: we asked for a ticket Cape Town to Christchurch, any time next year. Guess what? They have NOTHING AVAILABLE the whole year!!<br> <br> They could list 3 flights up to next October that can fly me Joburg to Auckland, but once I've paid the airport tax, plus the flights in and out of Joburg, plus the connecting flights between Christchurch and Auckland, I might as well just book a normal flight without using Voyager miles. Especially as I'll apparently lose everything if for any reason I need to change my flight in the event of an emergency. <br> <br> Voyager miles would appear to be a misleading ****.
