Kicked off while in Transit and On-board entertainment not working

Kicked off while in Transit and On-board entertainment not working.

Trip from CPT to MRU

They basically kicked full paying passengers (myself and daughter) IN TRANSIT off in JNB flight to put staff on... this is completely unacceptable!

How I know this is, My buddy who is staff that was on standby flying to MRU as well had no tickets to leave JNB as all flights were full. So all of a sudden while myself and daughter are making our way to the gates to board the plane, he (my buddy passes us) and gets on to the plane thereafter SAA stopping us from boarding as they say my luggage is being taken off the flight.

My buddy now seated not knowing where we are then phones me and realizes that they just gave him and his son mine and my daughters tickets.

When flying back from MRU to JNB, my on-board entertainment as well as my daughters entertainment was not working. Again, not acceptable.

I would like feedback on how this will be compensated for all the trauma and charges we had to incur for this:

We had to hire a taxi, book a place to stay overnight as the rebooked tickets were for the following day.
Penalties we had to pay for the re booking of the tickets.

We as a family had such a traumatic experience on this holiday, my kids never wants to fly again...

AND to top all this off, SAA took 1 month to get back to us (today) to say:

As a gesture of goodwill please accept 50 USD.

REALLY

Thanks

HISHAAM
