Injection needle on flight seat

Awful experience. Checked into business class for a connecting flight between Melbourne and Perth on route to South Africa, and sat on an injection needle. Right there on my seat with the cap off. Had no idea what it was and was in shock, called the flight attendant and she just took it away without saying anything. At least I took a photo and the person next to me was a minister of parliament in Nigeria so we exchanged details. I lodged a complaint with SAA and Virgin (operator) and no response after 20 days. There is no complaint phone line and I have since sent 2 follow up emails and even tried phoning the refunds and reservation lines. No luck.

Very unprofessional, poor service d spite this very serious issue. I had to get tested for STDs to put my mind to rest. How do we get the right person to respond? I have all the photos and contact details of references. I need to be compensated and will be going to the SiuthAfrican press and Australian press with this, unacceptable.
