Horrified with SAA

<p>My partner & I were due to leave P.E. at 19:55 yesterday evening, upon arriving at the airport to check in we were advised there was a delay & they are "working on the flight" - the delay started off as boarding at 21:20. I then received a call 2 or so hours later from a SAA staff member stating that they had "JUST found out" there was delay, nevermind the fact i had been aware of it for the last 2 hours. Not one single apology, compensation offering or explanation. The flight board then changed to boarding at 22:50. We ended up leaving P.E. - DBN at 11:15pm, only landing in DBN at 00:20. I cannot BELIEVE that an airline thinks that is it ok to land at odd hours of the morning on a Sunday evening, there is a knock on effect and not one SAA staff member made anyone feel as though they even cared! There were children on that flight, the adults including myself had to think about attending work on time the next morning after only getting home after 1:00am in the morning - nevermind the fact that i am also 6 months pregnant on topof it!! The people that required their friends and family to collect them from the airport had to stay awake & sitting in a deserted airport. I stared at a SAA Express aircraft for over 3 hours just parked in a bay! How does SAA not make a plan to utalise another aircraft! The flight from P.E. -DBN & vice versa is not a cheap one either & thats what you get for it?? I will NEVER fly SAA again, this is not the first time I have had delays with this airline & I am confident every other member on that plane feels the same way about SAA. Absolutely poor show & shocking service!!</p>
