I see SAA have started advertising again.. all the best.
We will NEVER EVER fly with them again. Pilots, cabin crew, ground crew, Voyager staff etc need to be retrained in how to survive and run an airline without sponsorship.
ONE example. On a flight from CT to Jhb I was in the queue to board and 3 passengers in front of me were upgraded to Business Class. I was close enough to see they were Voyager Blue status.
Expecting an upgrade as a Gold card holder I was surprised to be left in Economy Class. Not a problem BUT.... on querying the 'decision ' I was told the passengers in front of me had paid full fare for that particular flight.
My response was "So pay R2000(?) for ONE flight and you get an upgrade. But spend R200,000 a year and you stay in the back of the plane?"
Proof?
I then realized that I was worthless to SAA. They treated me like a wart to the point where I used all my miles to fly anywhere to use them before they expired. And before they (SAA) expired
May they suffer for long to come.
