flight Delay

My husband and about 10 other jockeys race in Kimberley every Monday. The wake up at 3.30am to get ready and be at the bus by 4.30am which leaves from Turffontein racecourse. They have a 6 and a half hour trip to Kimberley, they race all day in the heat, and then some guys then take the 7 hour ride home and others who can afford it will fly home at their own expense. Every Monday without fail the 7.10pm flight is delayed till at least 8.00pm.. EVERY WEEK!! no explanation given and not even a food voucher NOTHING !!! now this flight is just over R1000.00 10 jockeys each paying that, you do the math SAA !! and nothing is given for keeping these guys there EVERY Monday for an hour delay.. Please can someone explain what the problem is that this flight is always delayed.. why don't you just change it to an 8pm flight firstly and secondly what do these guys get for the inconvenience caused to them and their families. A lot of these guys have small kids that they don't see when they get up at 3.30am so they try get on the flight to get home early before the kids go to bed so they can spend a few minutes with their kids. But with the delay they land at OR Tambo they then catch an uber to Turffontein racecourse as they have left their cars there and then they have to still travel home, most live about 30min from the racecourse.. They get home late so its a bit late to still eat dinner so they eat at the airport at their expense once again.. SAA you cant even give each of them and your other passengers you are inconveniencing a meal voucher.. DISGUSTING !! but hey you scoring either way cause you are the only airline that fly's from Kimberly so these guys are *****ed in all ways. Come on Mango, kulula, flysafair jump on the band wagon and come in with better service and cheaper flights, cause R1000.00 one way between Kimberly and JHB and bad service is just not the way to go!!
