DO NOT FLY SAA

I was booked for a flight to Cape Town on the 16th of November 2023, missed the flight by 10 min. The same night my wife called SAA and booked my flight for the 17th 20:30. Upon arrival at the JHB INT at 18:00 I went to the sales counter and was told I must collect the new ticket at Check in, got there and the lady told me my ticket was cancelled on her system. I was sent back to the sales counter, Mr. Josiah Pharu assisted me, he called reservations and they failed to confirm the booking the night before, reservations told him they will sort it out in the next 30min. nothing happened, and I was referred to the supervisor Me. Portia Atisang was also not able to assist as my ticket was not received from SAA reservations yet. I was sent up and down between counters but to no avail. Eventually after 20:00 I was told they had a seat for me but still no ticket (20:00 was boarding time) . Around 20:15 I asked for a refund and Mr, Pharu gave me contact details for the refund office. the ticket then only came through to SAA ticket sales. This resulted in me missing an important interview as well as losing the money for my flight back from Cape Town to JHB. I was booked on seat D12 and when Mr. Pharu checked seat D12 had another passenger seated there. This mishap from SAA cost me besides the flight I missed where I was very rudely told by a gentleman at the boarding gate SAA will not assist and I must rebook as the flight already left even though take off was only at 20:30. Penalty cost to fly the 15th - R2238.00 not being on flight ****04 SAFAIR back to JHB R1750.00 = R3988 which I would want SAA to refund me for. I was not the only person this has happened to, and Me. Portia Atisang sent a WhatsApp message to the SAA group stating her disappointment with reservations - this is extremely poor service from SAA and numerous people were upset with the lack of service from SAA.

No I am being totally ignored by SAA customer services as well as SAA refund
