Disloyalty promoted by Voyager

Last year, on two occasions, SAA cancelled flights to Washington and Munich respectively without informing me or my travel agent. I had to incur quite a lot of costs to get on other flights. Any requests for assistance to recover costs were met with silence. In this time I was a Platinum member of the Voyager program.

This year I am a Gold memeber of the Voyager program. I had not received my Gold card yet - I do not want to bore you with the stories told by their staff members as to why I have not received my card yet. I have been overseas and were not allowed access to lounges because I could not produce a valid Gold card. I have given up on this. On the the 6th of April had a return flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg. I have alraede spoken to SAA 4 or 5 times and send them a email about the miles for the 6 April flight not being reflected on my mileage sheet. They also could explain to me how miles are now calculated in terms of the R1.50 that earns 1 mile in terms of the latest Voyager rules.

A loyalty program should work for you - not you checking and asking them over and over to do what they should be doing naturally. They have no respect for people like me that have been supporting them for more than 25 years. It has become time to move on.
