Damage luggage

I've flown pretty much all over the world with my Samsonite Luggage bag, and the one time I flew with SAA, they cracked my bag. So like any normal person, I filled out a baggage claim form, sent SAA the flight details, invoice for my bag (btw it was R8000 back then and now R10 000) and I gave in my bag "for inspection" at SAA offices at OR Tambo. 2 months later, I get an email to say SAA are willing to pay me R2500 for the damaged and cracked luggage bag. I can't even fix the bag because you cracked the actual body of the luggage so that's clearly not an option.

I ask for my luggage back and now SAA don't even know where my luggage bag went, phoning around asking where my bag is. This is pathetic!
