*******ed ****** who ***** money!!

<p>I paid for a round trip flight from NYC to South Africa (Cape Town to be exact) with South African Airways. As normal business standards: I had to pay the fare upfront, no problem. The flight was from JFK->JNB->CPT and vice versa for return. Well, I decided to head back to Johannesburg a few days early, no problem: I'll just forfeit the fare I paid between Cape Town and Johannesburg right? Wrong!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Well, I arrived to JNB 3 hours in advance to check in for my flight, to be told that it was cancelled. Why? Because since I skipped the flight from CPT to JNB, that means that I can no longer travel with them. Well, I can, but only if I pay over $600 (yes, USD) for "Non-Show" and "Rebooking" fees. WHAAATTT? For a flight that was already paid for? The staff member and supervisor mentioned several times that these are the terms and conditions. When asked to show proof, they refused.</p> <p> </p> <p>If a flight is paid for upfront, the please pardon me as I fail to understand why I am still getting charged (a hefty fee at that) to board a plane? The staff was rude, uncaring and just overall a pain to deal with. I now know why I see the lines building up for other airlines besides this one. I won't ever deal with this airline again, and will definitely NOT recommend them to anyone.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
