Confirmed booking not honoured

My wife and I had a very nasty experience on 29-02-2016 when attempting to check in on flight SA 8125 from Windhoek to Cape Town. We were denied access as SAA ground staff were claiming that they didn't have our names on the list for that flight.<br> <br> This is despite the fact that we were presenting a printed confirmation (booking reference Y8PEMR) that I printed from the SAA website after making payment with my credit card. Please see attachment.<br> <br> Even a phone call to SAA HQ in Johannesburg could not verify our confirmed booking. Instead I was asked to buy new tickets at the ticketing counter for more than ZAR 8600 (compared to the original price of NAD 3622).<br> <br> I am completely bewildered how SAA can question a confirmed ticket and deny access to the flight. More so , it equals ********* to demand a higher price than the price originally purchased, when faced with likelihood of being left behind in Windhoek.<br> <br> Confronted with such ************ business practices by SAA, we decided to book Air Namibia for the following day, resulting in additional costs for tickets, hotel accommodation and airport taxi transfers, not to mention the additional travel time spent.
