Cancelled Flight and does not want to refund

<p>I booked a flight through Travel Start. The flight was scheduled for the 27th of April 2017 with SAA. I received a notification that SAA is on strike through the news of which I called the SAA call centre and the agent confirmed that the flight is cancelled. The ticket number was ********** 147871. The agent stated that he can’t process a refund as I booked through the agency but the flight was cancelled.I however called Travel Start and they confirmed that they can’t give me a full refund because the flight was not cancelled and I am stating that this was not the case as the agent from SAA confirmed the flight was cancelled. They now require proof that the flight was cancelled. I then emailed ********** on the 28/04/2017 and requested the initial recording where the SAA agent confirmed the flight was cancelled and do date no response. I try and call SAA and can never get through an agent to assist me. Travel Start is claiming that the flight was not cancelled although it was publically known that the SAA was on strike. Of the total flight amount paid, Travelstart wants to refund me a whole R125.00, WOW, great. I paid in total R700 for the flight and to have an agent that are a bunch of ******* that want to rip people of and play as if they dont know the flight was cancelled. I can see that SAA and Travelstart are working together on this not to give me the recording that clearly confirms the cancellation when I called in because they do not want to lose any further money. Not my problem your staff was on strike, I want my full refund back. </p> <p> </p>
