Cancelled Booked Tickets

I booked tickets to Abu Dhabi on the 27 February 2015 on SAA for my travel to Doha. As SAA advertised a 72 hour sale. On Monday SAA email informs me that the tickets have been cancelled as to an error on their website. Now i am trying to book tickets and it is costing me thousands more than last week when i wanted to book flights on other airlines but chose SAA instead. Who is now liable for my losses because of SAA errors. SAA should have the decency to contact their customers telephonically and try to make arrangements to help people who made bookings but they just send an email. That is extremely unprofessional of our National Carrier. Very disappointed in the service received. Just a phone call to see how they can help for their mistake, is that too much to ask? I even sent SAA customer service an email on Monday and still no one has called....
