Booking ref no: 45H98A
Today 30 October 2015, I booked to fly to Johannesburg on flight no SA8772 departing Sishen at 08h25, upon checking in it was found that my surname had spelling error instate of reading DIBAKOANE it read DIBAKAONE. I was told by Jovan Titus that I will not be allowed to fly since my surname was spelled wrong, I explained that I typed my surname correct during online booking SAA online booking is not accepting Africa surnames as typed, sometimes it does auto correct and which is what I suspect happened with my booking.

Despite producing my ID book to confirm that I am the correct passenger, since ID number is a unique number that can be issued to one person. SAA still refused me to fly and disregarding the ID number that still matched my bookings. I found this being an unacceptable treatment from SAA because they wanted me to buy A new ticket to be allowed to fly and wait for 3 weeks before I get my refund for the wrongful spelled surname.

This incident is against their mission statement, I quote \We are driven by the needs and feelings of our passengers and will keep on refining our service to their satisfaction". SAA must not ask personal info like ID if they can't use it."""
