I made a booking for my 2 x unaccompanied minors on Monday morning 03/01/17 from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Reservations confirmed it and gave me a price of R3600.00. The same afternoon I went to Pick n Pay to pay for their tickets to arrive on Tuesday. At Pick n Pay they informed me that they can't process the purchase with the given payment reference nr SAA gave me. A very helpfull Pick n Pay phoned SAA 3 times as every time they say it will work and then it doesnt. AFter a struggle reservations informer us at Pick n Pay that my ticket has now been cancelled due to time out?????? My kids start school on Wednesday!!!! The Pick n Pay made a new booking on their expenses for me, now the booking is R5600.00 almost R2000.00 more expensive for only two hours difference. As I had no choice I had to accept the booking. Tried paying again....no it does not allow Pick n Pay. I left to go to the airport to pay the booking their only to be called 10 minutes later to tell me the booking ref nr is working I can return to Pick n Pay. Went back....oh no it is not working!!! At that time it was already late and close time. I went home and phone SAA and was transferred to America's reservations!!! What a expensive call only to tell me I must phone back the following morning at 06:00am. Phone at 06:00am, they confirmed my booking and say I can go ahead to Pick n Pay to pay, it will be processed. Again I went to Pick n Pay....NO it does not allow me!!! At that time my kids were allready on their way to CT airport. I phoned from Pick n Pay and the lady at reservations tell me the tickets has already issued that's why it doesn't allow payment. My kids by then cued for their boarding as per the tickets that was mailed to me. At check in they told my kids there is no sign of them on the sytem what so ever. No reservation has ever been made. How do people do and cause this? Leaving my kids standing there at a airport? Well had to book another ticket for my dad with SAFair to fly them back and return on the next flight back to CT. Thank you for SAF air!!! SAA is a total waste of money and service. Never again!!!!
