Airticket refunded to unknown though valid for 12months

I trust that this mail finds you well.

The above mentioned booking reference number refers, the booking was done online via eDream as travel agents. The travel was scheduled for the 14th Aug 2019 - 20th Aug 2019 however the trip ceased to materialize due to known world wide reported riots in Hong Kong therefore it wasn’t safe for us to travel as warned and cautioned. Some of the flights were even grounded for the same reasons. We therefore are not understanding the reasons why the airline (South African Airways) gave a full refund to the travel Agent i.e. eDreams as the air ticket was valid for 12 months!

Can I get clarity or the reasons thereof:

1. Who requested a refund?

2. How much was refunded to eDreams?

The desired resolution of this matter should be:

A. Full refund to myself or:

B. Reschedule the travel dates

I would appreciate a speedy investigation and resolution to the matter, thanking you in anticipation.
