3 months and still waiting for my refund

I had a flight booked for 24 December 2022, I reserved my booking and paid but unfortunately something happened and needed to cancel, I cancelled my flight 29 November 2022. I to today I have not received my refund all they tell me is it has been given to the airline and do not know when it will be refunded. How long do you have to wait for your refund, you take a hell of a lot of penalty money for this and that, just pay the rest owed to me back. It has been 3 months now and still waiting.
