Shocking Services

In November 2024 I was contacted by Mondo Financial Services (Pty) Ltd with regards to a maintenance policy for my vehicle through SAVM.

After receiving the documents 1 day later I decided to cancel the policy with SAVM immediately as it wasn't satisfactory. I cancellled within 2 days of signing up. According to page 9 of their booklet it is a prescribed period of 5 days.

I received confirmation that the cancellation had been done.

The DebiCheck debit order was not cancelled and the amounts were from my bank account in November and December 2024.

After numerous attempts with this company to get the DebiCheck debit orders reimbursed has been ignored. I was even told in writing that the debit orders would not have been debited from my bank account after I had the policy. I was requested to send my bank statements as proof of the debited amounts.

This is totally unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

As for Mondo Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, I would highly suggest caution in accepting a DebiCheck as it is a nightmare to cancel and receive reimbur*****t.

It seems the companies don't communicate with each other regarding cancellations. Surely SAVM informs Mondo Financial Services of the cancelled policy in order for the DebiCheck to be cancelled.

Very bad service.
