where are my parcels?

Like many others who have registered their complaints on this site I have been waiting for 2 parcels, coming from overseas, to be delivered. One of them, and I assume the other as well, has been sitting in customs for the last 3 weeks. Are the people working in customs also part of the SA Post Office or are they employed by SARS? Both the post office and customs have shocking communication skills - not only do they NOT answer telephone calls or emails, but they seem unable to report to the general public, their actual customers. A note on the SA Post Office website explaining what the situation is and what measures they are taking to resolve any problems would be a start.

One of the parcels that I am expecting has the following tracking number: RT***HK/RI***ZA. I see from other complaints that we are expected to send an email to a specific address. This has been done but I have received no reply. Has anyone out there who has submitted a similar complaint received a reply or had any productive response i.e. actually got their parcel? Customer service should involve action and not formulaic platitudes.

I await (and not with baited breath) a constructive response.

JaneW
