What a waste
I've always used the Post Office to send packages, and never had a problem (except of course during the strike). But unfortunately not this time. I sent a package from Cape Town to Pretoria at the end of last year. Imagine the surprise when I discovered that the package has been returned to me this week, 3 months later. According to the Post Office, the package was not collected, but this is nonsense because it was sent to my parents and they never received any notification. The online Track and Trace service shows that the package never went near my parents' local post office. So what a waste of R22.50, which seems insignificant, but since competitors will from now on get my money, the Post Office has unfortunately lost a loyal customer.
Thank you for your comment.
Unclaimed items are generally kept at the post office for 30 days and all items that have been on our mail stream for over a period 30days are returned to sender, as unclaimed. For us to be able to give clarity on why the pakage as not delivered we'll need your tracking number which may be sent to ***
