Well Done! to the Woodstock Post Office

I should like to share an experience I had at the Woodstock Post Office this morning. I went there to collect my Sassa grant. Expecting a queue I arrived early (forty-five minutes before opening time). The staff had already opened the office and although they could not yet process any payments they invite the maximum number of people in out of the cold and provided sanitised seats, spaced 1.5 meters apart for them to sit on whilst waiting for opening time. Furthermore, they moved more seats outside for those waiting to enter to sit on. The lady who looked after the seats diligently sanitised each and every seat between pensioners sitting on them, although we played the usual "musical-chairs" move up one space each time someone was attended to. She even sanitised the door handles after each time it was touched, beside offering to sanitise hands every so often. Because I walk with walking aids, I was invited to the front of the queue. The staff behind the counter were friendly and very helpful, and all the old people queueing for their pension were cheerful and chatty, responding to the inviting caring attitude of the staff. Kudos to the Postmaster and all the staff at the Woodstock Post Office, you give one faith in the inherent goodness of humanity.
