Useless service covered up with lies

My priority mail parcel from USA arrived in SA on 16 December, cleared customs on 19 December. Since then my parcel as just sitting, waiting to be delivered. I received an update that a supposed delivery attempt took place on 14 January, however, no one ever made contact with our reception for this bogus delivery attempt. I tried phoning three times on ********** 000, but was on hold each time for more than 5 minutes after which the call was cut. This is absolutely unacceptable service, but it appears to be the norm for this organisation as I have 2 more parcels in the same situation, waiting on delivery.
