UMHLANGA ROCKS POST OFFICE : DERELICTION OF DUTY

The cluster boxes in somerset park , Umhlanga is currently undergoing refurbishments . There is a small printed sign at the cluster box stating that they are sorry for the inconvenience and that the mail of approx 200 box holders can be collected at the Umhlanga Rocks Post office . I have been there on 3 occasions and told that there is no post . On more closer examination I discovered that this NOTHING BUT A DERELICTION OF DUTY on behalf of the SA POST OFFICE . There is no arrangement put in place for 200 box holders to collect their mail for over a month now . Where this mail is currently is now ( dumped ) nobody knows. I personally met with the POST MASTER of Umhlanga Rocks post office to discuss the matter . His cavalier and dismissive approach in this matter leaves one speechless. I contacted the area Manager to discuss same . Messages were left and 4 days have passed now and not surprisingly there is no response . FILE 13 yet again. This is the kinds of service that ordinary citizens are receiving from the SA Post Office . A really blase , unaccountable attitude, mentality . INDEED THE POST OFFICE DOES NOT DELIVER WHATEVER IT TAKES . They have failed dismally . PLEASE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE . Enough is enough . Citizens want to see COMPETENCE now.
