I ordered a parcel from Belgium in September, which got totally lost in the postal system. Neither the overseas courier, nor the South African Post Office had any idea where it was. The parcel contained parts I needed for a LEGO build, which was to be displayed at Brickfair this weekend.

As a last resort, I raised this matter with the Post Office executive office late last week. I explained the urgency in getting this parcel, which would have been the difference between a successful and unsuccessful build. Post Office employees gave me their commitment that come hell or high water, they will do what is needed for me to get the package. I received a call on Friday night, just before 21:00, informing me that they had found it, and I would receive further contact on Saturday morning.

First thing on Saturday morning, I received a call from Andrew Nongogo, asking me where I am now, and if he could deliver the parcel to me. I told him that I was already at the fair in Centurion, to which he responded "see you now".

Minutes later, Andrew arrived with a smile on his face and my parcel in his hand. This spectacular service levels meant that I could finalise my build and was ready for the opening of Brickfair 2016. Andrew and his team's commitment to "deliver, whatever it takes" blew me away ways I would never have expected.

To Mark, Andrew, Jacqui and Sipho: thank you, thank you, thank you. You absolutely restored my faith in the South African Post Office.
