THEFT AT LOTHAIR POST OFFICE

My mom sent a birthday parcel from Cape Town to Lothair two weeks ago. When I went to the Lothair post office yesterday (24/02/2015) to collect the parcel I was told by Rosemary (ID nr ***) that the parcel was still en route from Ermelo, even though it left Ermelo on the 14th of Feb. After some phoning, we found out that Rosemary had given our parcel out to a stranger (ID nr ***) on the 21st of Feb, without even checking on the system (it also meant that she never checked the parcel into the Lothair office because the system showed it was still en route). Rosemary phoned this morning to tell us that she got the parcel back from whoever had taken it, so will drive the 30km from the farm into town AGAIN tomorrow to see if the parcel is still intact. I find this completely unacceptable, since it meant that someone had told the stranger about the parcel, because how else will they have known about it being at the post office?? Think I will also go to the police tomorrow and bring it under their attention as to what is going on there, since I suspect this is not the first time it has happened at Lothair Post Office.
