Surface mail to New Zealand

parcel posted surface mail on 31/1/18 to New Zealand ended up at Cape Mail hub on 5/2/18 where it has remained ever since. Now 19 March. Spoken to post office and found it should have been sent to Durban but no response to my emails to sapo. Absolutely devastated as previous parcels have never given me problems. Can partly blame Oakfields Centre Northmead for writing surface mail on every available surface on the parcel totally confusing the staff who probably did not know where NZ was
