Speed services is now lost services

I ordered a package from a supplier in johannesburg and they gave in at the post office on the 9th of this month to be send through speed services. It was scanned on the same day but further there is no indication of what happened to it. I phoned the customer services today and all they can tell me is that it has to go to Ladysmith before it can be sent to my town (Newcastle). Other than that there is no indication of where it is, they can't even tell me in what town it is currently. What is the use of using speed services if it take a week or more to deliiver one package and it costs more.
