South African Post Office: No response, where are my parcels
I have been sending parcels to my friend in Thailand for over a year and he would receive them ina fairly reasonable time. Since October 2023, I have sent 3 parcels to Thailand and he has not received any of them yet. I have been to Epping Capemail, called JIMC and the Germiston office but am now not getting through to anyone. On email, I have mailed customer services, customer service and jimc and no one is responding. In the period between October and now, I received an email response from one person saying that the parcels have left South africa, I have spoken on the phone once with a person who said that 2 of the 3 parcels are closed for consignment but they had to call me back about the 3rd parcel but never did, and Capemail says that all parcels are still at JHB. The longer it stays there, the higher the risk of loss. I paid EMS fees and this has become a very frustrating experience merely to find out where the packages actually are. What is the purpose of email addresses and phone numbers when nobody responds. It is a poor excuse for lack of service or customer relationship building that the SAPO is in business rescue. The postage service is essential. They should then just be closed if they can't cope.
