South African Post Office cannot DELIVER

I sent a parcel in at Cape Town Cape Gate to Robindale JHB on 19 June 2020 and paid extra to register with a tracking no. - now almost a month later no one can tell me where the parcel is - " in transit " - everytime it is the same excuse - the virus , the virus. My point is - why do they accept parcels when they know they cannot deliver - plz people - DO NOT USE THE SOUTH AFRICAN POST OFFICE - rather drive to your nearest council refuse dumping ground and dump your parcel there.
