SAPO - ***** and ********s
This is the claim made on the post office's website - "International items are delivered within an average of 10 workdays". That's AVERAGE mind you so presumably some items get there faster. I don't know what planet the people who say these things live on or whether they haven't yet woken up to the fact that this 2022 not 1992 when SAPO was still a functional entity. I posted a parcel to Ireland on 7 April. It wasn't cheap. It was fetched from my local post office on 19 April. It apparently left the nearest hub the next day. On the 6th of May it finally reached customs at JIMC and left customs on 18th May. Taking public holidays into account that's 25 working days. Has it actually even left the country yet? No one can tell me - their tracking system is that vrot. And then the Minister has got the gall to claim in Parliament that the service has improved since Mark Barnes was kicked out!! It has never been worse and the sooner SAPO is stripped of its licence to charge the public for its so-called 'services' the better. This is nothing other than institutionalised theft. What private sector business would get away with swindling their clientele like this?
