SAPO ***** ON SASSA GRANT FOR THE ELDERLY

To whom this may concern On the 2nd of October 2018 My Mother Bridget Nontombi Mahlangu went to withdraw her sassa payout and she noticed that R1520 had been withdrawn at 13h36 on 1st of October 2018, she then rushed to Sassa office in Kwa Thema, where she was assisted by one of the clerks who as she was checking on the system also validated that the money was withdrawn at about 13h56 on the 1st of October 2018 and as she was the system while my mother was still at the Sassa office with her another R900 was withdrawn from Johannesburg. With all this information that clerk sent my mother to the post office to check what could have been the cause as the clerk also asked if my mother had given her pin to someone else maybe and my mother advised that she had not done that. At the post office she was advised that she goes to the police station to request an affidavit and submit the transaction slip as well as that affidavit which she did and on follow up she was now told that there was a company in Bloemfontein who was withdrawing this money and they are still investigating and was given a new card which different account number and pin . The Sassa payout were successful for the month of November 2018 , December 2018 and January 2019. On the 2nd of February 2019 she went to Springs town at shoprite to make a purchase with the Sassa card that she had been using successfully for three months whilst waiting for feedback on the payout query for the month of October 2018. When she tried to make the payment at shoprite Springs the cashier advised that there were no funds in her Sassa card. The balance on her card was now R8.19. She then went to Sassa office in Kwa Thema where she was advised that the money is reflecting on the account and then she was sent to an atm to withdraw the money, when got to the atm as soon as she inserted her Sassa at fnb atm card slot she proceeded to punching her pin but before she could finish punching the screen showed her that there is a R600 withdrawal and transaction slip came out and her cad followed. Today the 5th of February 2019 she went back to Sassa to report again and was advised by a clerk (Phindile ) at Sassa that her payout was withdrawn at a post office internally but they can't see which was that. She was then redirected to the post office in Kwa Thema where she was referred to the Kwa Thema branch post office's manager (Linkie) who told her that they had a problem printing out documents but she consulted their Springs post office branch manager to assist my mother by lodging another payout query.

To date No Social grant money has been paid to my mother for the month of October 2018 and February 2019, Instead she was advised by a SAPO branch manager in Springs to go to home affairs to verify if she is not sharing her names, surname,I.D number , sassa account and sassa pin which she did but her money is still missing and no action is taken thus far.
