SAPO: Blatant Insolance

It astonishing how South Africans accept the demise of the South African Postal Service without comment. Particularly since it affects the poor who cannot afford expensive mobile communication the most. Escom, SAA, Transnet, SARS etc are all well-know failures, but SAPO? Not a word except for the occasional knee-jerk reaction from the "Chief Executive" Mark Barnes (salary R4,2 million) and his fourteen (yes, 14) co-executives and directors, all no doubt on hunger wages. But then Barnes is also a busy "non-executive" (salary R2-million) of the financial company Purple Capital who write on their website "As the current CEO of the South African Post Office, he is leading one of our most valuable national assets.". It is"zum kotzen" as the German saying goes. Only in democratic South Africa can one get away with such blatant insolence.
