SA Post office vs. international courier services

My parcel went from Lancaster – Jamaica - NY – Dubai – Johannesburg in five working days. The same parcel took 16 working days to get from Johannesburg - Cape Town. The same parcel is now in transit between my local depot which is 1.8km from my house since Friday afternoon, i.e. has sat up the road from me for two working days.

Guys, you figure this one out and get back to me. How would you feel if this was your parcel? To top off the insult I've sent two emails to ********** for updates since the item landed in SA, neither of which has even been acknowledged yet.

I don't hold out hope for a reply to this either, but will remain hopeful.
