SA Post Office, avoid at all cost for international shipping to South Africa

I would avoid at all cost! If you can't get a courier to do the handover, you can expect that SA Post Office also needs 40 days for International Priority Parcels. I had a part for my car on Priority Mail, paid 2000 Rand for 5-10 days delivery from the US, using USPS (also one you can't use for shipping, they terminate over SA Post Office). Took them 6 days to bring the parcel to Joburg, and took the SA Post Office another 35 days to get it to Cape Town. As I couldn't wait and wait, I got the part from Germany with DHL Express.. 3 days it was on my door step. I will now always check, which company is the terminating service provider, and if SA Post Office is the only option, I search for a shop offering a decent mail service. Just do yourself the favor and check back, if handover is by the SA Post Office, in that case, prepare to wait 4-5 months on NORMAL mail ;) SA Post Office = ***********
