RUDENESS AT THE POST OFFICE AND NO SUPERVISION

The services at Post Offices in South Africa is pathetic. I went to three different post offices in one afternoon, in an attempt to renew my car licence. The WORST one was the Ring Road one at Greenacres, Port Elizabeth. Arriving at 1.30 I was told the counter is now closed up to 2 o'clock. Deciding to wait the 30 minutes, I looked around to find a row of chairs placed against the wall with 3 clients waiting, empty chairs in between. Attempting to sit down, I was quickly told by the client sitting on the last one at the door, that the chairs were "all occupied" - the clients had just gone away and will come back at 2, and their chairs are being kept for them. I, as an old lady, was supposed to STAND at the door. Where is the supervision? Is this now the latest trend? And no respect for older people. Since when is this the new rule to wait for your turn?
