So, apparently SAPO have had this "handling" fee of R24 for international small items and R48 for international large items since 2015 or something. They have only recently implemented it though. I bought a $1.19 item and had to pay R24.

Pathetic ******* ******* they are. Double what the item cost. How on earth can that be legal? Clearly this is a violation of our rights and ******* of the citizens of this country. Another sad attempt by the cANCer to loot as much cash as possible before the rot completely removes them.

When asked I was told it's a handling and admin fee for the work required to process each item. Please. Then why does it still take 2-3 months for the useless slugs and money holes at SAPO customs to clear these packages? The amount of money they are *****ing now surely they can pay their staff to actually work at a normal speed? Typical new age South African mentality. Pay more for even less service. Cannot wait for the whole cANCer system to disappear.

Bring back honesty and integrity please. In the meantime would be nice to know just how legal this is.
