Post Office doesnt know where my parcel is.

So I ordered a parcel over ebay, the parcel is then scanned where I need to pick it up. When I send someone on my behalf they tell him about a local tracking number that has not been given to me. I do however have an international tracking number that the post office picks up. They tell me to get this local tracking number I need to call the customer care. I call but its been three days and they never answer. I need my parcel but they offer only one solution which I am not willing to do because its a major waste of airtime. I hope they can resolve this quick.
