Parcel Which Never Arrived

I ordered an item from the United States on the 4th of March 2019 and it has never arrived. When I track the parcel, it says "Item is currently in transit to the destination". The South African Postal customer service has informed me that US parcels are non-priority items and are sent directly to your local Post Office. My wife however has ordered many items from Wish.com and they all have arrived with no problems. I've noticed the price of the item is on the parcels, which leads me to believe that my wifes items arrived with no issues because they were all cheap items? So can I assume that the people that work at Local Customs had seen the price of my item ($100) and were curious to see what was inside and stole it ?
