Parcel Sent to Riga, Latvia CN***ZA

On the 31.3.2015 we posted a parcel at Durban International of RMA Warranty (CN***ZA) goods to our supplier in Riga, Latvia.
To our horror on finding out that the supplier had not received the parcel we discovered that using the Global Track and Trace the parcel had only arrived in JIMC C on the 8.5.2015 and left the same day.
Around the 18.5.2015 we queried the Durban CSC and were advised the Latvian Postal Service has scanned in the Parcel on the 16.5.2015 although this was not reflected on the Track and Trace system.
As the parcel had still not been received by our supplier we followed up again on 8.6.2015 with Durban CSC and were advised the parcel had been returned and scanned on the 31.5.2015 and was in JIMC and on asking the reason for the return we were told that nothing was shown and we should contact JIMC.
After 6 attempts and being on hold for upwards of 5mins (phoning an 011 number from Durban) all we got was that they were experiencing high call volumes and to hold.
So right now we are none the wiser. About why the parcel took so long Durban-JHB and why it was returned after not being in Latvia probably more than a week so not an uncollected item?
