Parcel held by customs for over 6 weeks (JHB Int. Mail Centre - HUB)

<p>I have a parcel that has been held by customs since 20 May 2017, it's over a month now and it is still there. I already sent 4 e-mails and received same response "your item will be sent to the post office of destination office once cleared". How long does it take to process/assess items, surely it can't take that long to process something ?</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
