PARCEL DISAPPEARS
Hi,<br> <br> I am expecting a parcel from the U.S.A tracking number LJ***US - This parcel was posted on 06 February 2015 via USPS. I have still not received my parcel, after numerous calls to the Cape Town customs office as well as the local post office my parcel seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth! At customs I am told the same story (for the past month may I add) that there is a back log in JHB and at CPT. then I am told they can't trace anything on their system and that I need to call my local post office and check under my name and surname - which is difficult to do as they require the local tracking number,.<br> <br> I contacted the seller and she is unfortunately unable to track the parcel once it has left the U.S.A. I can't keep calling around with no update or progress, what has happened to my parcel???<br> <br> Why has it not received a local tracking number? When I call phone ring FOREVER and the immediately placed on hold, and when I do actually get to speak to someone, they are either disinterested or unhelpful. On 2 occasions out of a million calls I came across people who were genuinely baffled as to how this could take this long.<br> <br> PLEASE HELP!!

LJ***US is a custom label , not a tracking number and it is subsequently difficult to attribute the reason for the delay or non-receipt thereof. We ran an search under your name and surname and regrettably we could not find any items listed. I am sorry the item was not received as expected; I understand the frustration this would cause however I am happy to assist with the following information. Since the service that has been used to send your parcel does not include online tracking we are unable to see any updates on our tracking system. With that said, to enable enquiries to commence into this matter we require the sender to log an investigation via the originating postal administration who will then liaise with the South African Post throughout the investigation. I can understand this may be inconvenient, however, to align with guidelines set out by Universal Postal Union, we require all investigations for missing or delayed international articles to be lodged with the postal administration of the origin country.
