Package delivery times

I think more than 4 months to get a package from SA to NZ is ridiculous. The package was posted through surface mail via Rustenburg. Now after 4 months we are still waiting. There is some things in there that can expire and also things that can break. I will almost guarantee that things will be taken out of the package if we ever receive it. I could have taken a kayak and get 8t quicker than the SA Post office. How long should I still wait for the package? Everyone is paid doing a job, so why not just do it and get it done. Very disappointing service SA Post office.
