non delivery

Today I went to the Linden post Office to collect a parcel which I know has been in SA since 29 September. The overseas tracking number states "In Transit - Item being handed over to the local courier, tracking ended. Location: Local courier sorting centre,SOUTH AFRICA." As they couldn't use the foreign tracking number I looked in the delivery book and noticed that the last parcels to be delivered were 5 parcels on 27/10/2017 and before that 3 parcels on 17/10/2017. Given that I have 3 parcels waiting somewhere in the S A postal system, I have to wonder how many other peoples' parcels are sitting in the central sorting office. I cannot fault the workers at Linden, but I do find it atrocious that we have to pay for the non-delivery of parcels. Please S A Post office, get your fingers out and actually do some work or hire someone who wants to work and is prepared to actually work.
