No Registered mail Services and loss of parcel worth 2500 at SA Post Office

I posted my 4 curtains in August from polokwane to cape town on regular post. Each tier of the curtain costed 2500. Only 3 curtains arrived and the box was chopped by the corner and a post office brand sellotape was put to close up the box. to my surprise the post office no longer have registered post services.

Whern i reported the matter at my receiving post office, i was adviced that the process to query the loss is pointless because nothing will be done about it. In any case i put in the querry and three to four weeks later i received a response that they are sorry about what happened and nothing will be done about it.

I have lost revenue of about R2500 and nothing can be done about it? it's appalling and i would not advice any one to use their services because there no care and security taken on goods sent through and they didnt care about my loss.

I am still shocked even now.
