Missing parcel

I purchased some items on ebay in November 2016. The parcel arrived in South Africa on the 7th of January 2017 as have been tracking it. Apparently the parcel got lost when the driver whom was suppose to deliver the parcel to my nearest post office took it back to the mailing centre for unforseen reasons. I manage to get hold of one of the investigator after going to the mailing centre and pessisting about the matter. The investigator tried to recover the parcel but she could not find it and she told me that it was ******. She handed the matter to customer care whom never conctacted me for compensation. Please help resolve this
