missing parcel

I posted a parcel destination Holland more than 3 weeks ago. The last update was on 28th March which said the parcel is still here floating around. According to the Post office however the parcel left the country last month. So where is it? On the tracking website it does not say the parcel left at all. I am getting to the point where I think my postage of close to a R800 was spent for nothing, never mind the cost of the present I sent. Who is telling the truth here? Meantime the parcel service is proudly recommended by the Post Office.
